Make 2017 Amazing!

We hope you had a wonderful, restful break with your family.  Today, we showed the class this image:

We told them that the New Year is a great point for making resolutions or goals for yourself. We each thought individually about what would make each of our lives better in the New Year, and then, after viewing Mrs. Davis', each made our own personal list. Mr. Seley set more measurable goals for himself, to work out every day and to read 50 books in 2017.

The kids then each typed a list in Microsoft Word to be formatted like the typed example above, with the objective to use the numbered list tool. Please ask your child to share his or her list with you tonight. At dinner, talk about what goals or resolutions your family has to make 2017 amazing!

We also had math, reading (book checkout time in media center and book room), and word study groups today, so look for your child's new assignment sheet.

(Mrs. Davis' class did not do planners this afternoon.)
