Our big excitement this week has been typing our drafts of our personal narratives. We have also learned some publishing how-tos, like choose any font as long as it's Arial ;) (this doesn't include Arial black, Arial narrow, etc.) If you want to be fancy, use Arial. We are looking forward to publishing our final drafts and sharing them with you!
Here's a script we use:
Person 1: Stop. I don't like it when you... Next time, please ...
Person 2: Okay. I can do that.
Practice this at home too! Here are some examples.
Stop! I don't like it when you pushed me. Next time, wait at the door patiently and stand without touching me.
Okay, I can do that.
Stop! I don't like it when you called me "stupid." Next time, use my name and call me Kim.
Stop! I don't like it when you take my eraser. Next time, ask me if you need to borrow one of my things before you touch it.
Okay, I can do that.
Stop! I don't like it when you wear your shoes in the family room. Next time, leave your shoes on the mat by the garage door.
Okay, I can do that.
