Wednesday during our safety lesson we learned to tell a trusted adult if we feel a situation is dangerous, destructive or disturbing. We learned to keep telling until we find a trusted adult who helps us. Of course, we listed which adults are our trusted adults. Ask your child who he/she considers his/her trusted adults. Today for our safety lesson we learned that we never keep secrets from our trusted adults, and that adults should never ask kids to keep secrets from their trusted adults. We sometimes will SURPRISE a trusted adult. For example, when buying a present for a celebration. A surprise will make everyone happy and we will tell a surprise later. We don't keep secrets from our trusted adults. We can tell our trusted adults anything and we will never get in trouble. Trusted adults will help us whenever we find a situation to be unsafe or dangerous, destructive or disturbing. Mr. Morawski sent you an email with a bit more background information so that you can follow up with your child. The script above is how we focused the message of this lesson with our class this morning.
