April is Safety Month at BCS! Last week, we discussed car safety, this week we discussed fire safety, and today we had a presentation from Officer Dave to tell us more about these topics and also to let the kids know how to recognize unsafe situations and to know what to do if they ever feel unsafe. These are some great dinnertime conversations to have with your kids!

• Seeking help from trusted adults-we will always believe you and won't ever be mad at you.
•  Car safety (booster until over 4 ft 9 inches tall, back seat until age 13, always buckle your seat belt, help the driver avoid distractions)
• Avoiding unsafe situations and safety hazards.
• Accessing emergency services such as “911.” Do your kids know your address??
