Terrific Thursday

Today, we had math, our media skills lesson and book checkout, an hour of drafting time on our adventure stories in the computer lab, and we began our next read-aloud novel, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo, for which students will complete a series of lessons in reading strategies as we enjoy the book together as a whole class. These lessons compliment the students' daily, self-selected reading of books at their individual reading levels. In the afternoon, we had Eng Tech/Art and Engage, and the Davis class did our first lesson on forces while the Seley class explored the northeast region of the U.S. through a fun-filled Kahoot trivia game. Tomorrow, we will switch lessons, and Davis will do the NE Kahoot and Seley will do forces. (This allows us to share the ipad cart for Kahoot.)

Tomorrow afternoon, the BCS community will be meeting from 1:30-3:20 for Character Connections, our 3-8 groups that we are in for the six years we are at BCS. In remembrance of Veteran's Day and Pearl Harbor Day, we are focusing on the character trait of PATRIOTISM and asking all students to wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE tomorrow. Due to tomorrow's special schedule, we will NOT have PE, so no gym/swim tomorrow.

Have a wonderful evening!
