Tonight's homework includes helping a parent to shovel the walkway and/or driveway. We talked about random acts of kindness and how a snowstorm is a chance to surprise a neighbor by shoveling their walkway or driveway unexpectedly. You might have noticed that the story problem above mentioned earning, saving, and spending. Third graders had a nice talk about even earning money by regularly shoveling for a neighbor (with parent's approval beforehand).
