In these last days of 2017, the DSBCS team is focusing on being kind and grateful. Last Wednesday, with the heavy snowfall approaching, we set a goal to do random acts of kindness by shoveling driveways and walk ways for our parents and neighbors. On Friday, kids reported on how many driveways they shoveled:
What a beautiful wave of kindness we spread!
This week, we are focusing on gratitude through doing a short friendly letter writing unit, making thank you cards to send to family and friends for the holidays. We started today, and the notes are very heartfelt and touching. Students will each bring home a Ziplock bag of thank you cards and envelopes.
Thank you to all the kindness that you have shown by donating the snow brick makers. We are so grateful! There was some slushy packing snow this morning, and recess was full of teamwork and creative construction. THANK YOU!!!
