Supermoon Monday

Our read aloud book:

A Mink, a Fink, A Skating Rink: What Is A Noun? Today we began our exploration of the parts of speech with a book about nouns. The kids also did an activity with nouns. It is Grammar Grams #11. The kids really enjoyed it.

Our day in review:

Today we learned about nouns and worked on a Grammar Grams activity using interesting nouns. We book shopped in the book room, read with our reading buddy, researched about Native Americans in the library with Mrs. Truesdell, and worked on our True Stories personal narratives; Mr. Seley's class explored strong endings, and Mrs. Davis' class thought of how a partner can help you improve your story and made a checklist that they began using to guide the peer-revising process.

Our planner:

Third grade math, please spend 10 minutes working from SAB p. 119, 120, 127, 128

Fourth grade math: Test Corrections are due tomorrow. Please do test corrections on a fresh sheet of paper. Write the problem #, show how to get the correct answer, and then write a sentence about what you will do differently next time to get the question correct.

Remember that tomorrow is Late Start and class begins at 9:48. (We teachers call it Early Start, as our professional development begins at 7:15.) Wednesday is our field trip and every child needs to pack a nut-free lunch (reusable bags are fine).

Sincerely,
Mrs. Davis & Mr. Seley
