We did so many special things today!
Third graders began their unit one math tests using the online component of our text while showing evidence (diagrams, explaining their reasoning) on paper. Most kids did not finish, so we will spend more time on Wednesday to finish (Mrs. Davis will have a sub for a science meeting on Monday, and students have no school on Tuesday for Election Day/Teacher Records Day.)
Fourth graders went to the Battle of the Books kick-off assembly today! They brought home a brochure today and they checked out books too to start reading. We are encouraging all of our fourth graders to participate.
This afternoon, we worked on our classroom Constitutions and also on our classroom jobs manual, which we are collaboratively writing using Google Classroom. We have students serving as editors as well. Look for the published, hard copy of the manual when you're here for conferences!
