A recap of day 7 of learning together...

Today's Read-Aloud:
Your child has their reflection sheet that we did along with this thought-provoking book. We brainstormed important rules that classrooms usually have and thought about why they are in place. What would happen if one person broke a rule? What if everybody did? The book ends with imagining what if everybody did good things? The example was what if everybody went home and hugged their mom? We decided to think about what we do and wonder "what if everybody did that? Would it make the world a better place?" Tonight's homework is to have a family discussion around the reflection that your child wrote on their paper, which is in their binder.
In third grade math, we continued our four fours puzzle. (See yesterday's post for more details.) Look at all the numbers that kids have built with four fours!! (Today I showed them that 4!=24 and 4/4=1 and the square root of 4 = 2.)
